A forgotten autumn dream

A forgotten autumn, when everything was falling apart,
You, your dreams and my heart
Ear deafening screams
Of all the could have beens
Silenced as winter came in
And the world got dark
You and I mourned the death of the spark
Then came summer
With all its heat
I sat on the terrace
Trying to remember your heartbeat
Against my chest as you came
Running to me last spring
Out of breath, your tired eyes hadn't slept for days
Crying oh lord crying!
Setting my heart ablaze
I prayed to god that i never get to see another tear in your eye
So this fall you chose him and bid me goodbye.
